Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Colorado State University aimed to determine the timing of dental apical closure in domestic cats and whether sex or position in the dental arch affected closure. Intraoral radiographs were obtained for 18 cats, and the age of apical closure was established for various teeth. The study found that mandibular canine tooth apices closed earlier in female cats than in male cats, and there were discernible trends in the timing of apical closure among teeth in the dental arcade. These findings suggest notable differences in the age of apical closure between male and female cats. [Extracted from the article]
