Abstrakt:	A study conducted by researchers at Gangneung-Wonju National University provides new insights into carrier proteins. The study focuses on low-dose ionizing radiation (LDIR) and its effects on RNA-binding protein HuR. The researchers developed a method to profile RNA species crosslinked to HuR using LDIR and high-throughput RNA sequencing. The study found that crosslinking HuR to target mRNAs resulted in rapid degradation of the transcripts, and downregulation of certain genes mediated the beneficial effects of LDIR on cell viability.
