The Akbari-Ganji's method is used to solve the standard Gray-Scott model pertaining to a cubic-autocatalytic reaction with linear decay coupled with diffusion in a one-dimensional reactor. The method used here is an easy and efficient method in obtaining an approximate solution to the nonlinear model. The analytical solution is compared with the numerical simulation to justify the validity of the solution. The analytical solution will help in predicting the relationship between the parameters and the behavior of the model under various situations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
