This article discusses the synthesis and characterization of various compounds, specifically oxocinopyridines. The compounds were synthesized using a general procedure involving the reaction of pyridine derivatives with salicylaldehyde. The resulting mixtures of regioisomers were separated and purified, and their physical properties were determined. The compounds were then characterized using various analytical techniques such as infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectrometry. The article provides detailed information about the synthesis, characterization, and properties of each compound, and acknowledges the use of equipment at Tyumen State University for spectrophotometric studies.
