Abstrakt:	The paper presents all the known data obtained as a result of field studies of the Transcaucasian tree mantis (Hierodula transcaucasica Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1878) on the territory of Rostov Region, including behavior and life cycle, namely, the growth and development of individuals at different stages of ontogenesis. New sampling sites in the region are indicated, and issues of the species penetration into this territory in the period of 2017–2021 are considered. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
