A patent application titled "Sperm Sorting Method" has been published online by the US Patent and Trademark Office. The inventors of the method are CHANG, CHING-WEN; CHUNG, CHEN-YEN; HUANG, CHUNG-HSIEN; and LI, BOR-RAN. The method involves sorting sperm based on temperature difference and swim-up methods. The current standard assisted reproductive technology procedures for selecting sperm for in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection have limitations, and this method aims to overcome those limitations by using a porous layer and temperature difference to collect sorted sperm. The method also includes the use of a sperm sorting device with upper and lower chambers. This patent application provides a detailed description of the method and its implementation.
