Abstrakt: Researchers at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, Egypt have developed and synthesized novel compounds that inhibit the growth of tumors by targeting the VEGFR-2 and EGFR(T790M) enzymes. The compounds were tested on various cancer cell lines and showed effective results, with one derivative being more effective than existing drugs. The compounds also demonstrated modest toxicity against normal cells. The researchers used molecular design and MD modeling to explore the compounds' binding with the active sites of the enzymes. The study also evaluated the ADMET profile of the compounds. [Extracted from the article]
