Researchers at the University Hospital Clinic of Valencia have focused their attention on heart failure and the need for consensus documents on the management of cardiorenal patients. With the aging population and the increasing prevalence of both pathologies, there is a need for guidelines that specifically address patients with concomitant heart failure and kidney disease. The document aims to address the justification of palliative care in cardiorenal patients, the shared planning of their care, and the management of symptoms and advanced measures. The research also emphasizes the importance of the psychosocial approach and adapted pharmacotherapy. [Extracted from the article] |
