A new report discusses research findings on aneurysm, specifically focusing on a case study from Kerala, India. The study highlights a rare occurrence of involuntary movements following aneurysm surgery, which was attributed to an acute infarct involving the head of the caudate nucleus. The patient responded well to treatment, with complete resolution of the movement disorder. The research suggests that the occurrence of new-onset involuntary movements after aneurysm surgery should raise suspicion of infarcts involving basal ganglia structures.
