A recent study conducted at Hindu Rao Hospital in Delhi, India, explored the cardiovascular effects of a diluted intracameral combination of 0.02% tropicamide, 0.31% phenylephrine, and 1% lidocaine during phacoemulsification to manage intraoperative miosis. The study found that this low concentration of the intracameral combination was both safe and effective for managing intraoperative miosis. The research concluded that intracameral mydriatic agents are a promising alternative to topical mydriasis for cataract surgery. [Extracted from the article] |
