The article discusses a study which compared dose distributions and dose to organ at risk (OAR) between proton and photon radiotherapy plans for patients with mediastinal lymphomas. Topics discussed include lower OAR doses achieved with proton therapy, the higher variability of proton therapy plans, and high and homogenous proton plan standard achieved at different radiotherapy centers. |
