Abstrakt: This article discusses a study on the Bennett angle, a measurement used in prosthetic rehabilitation. The study found that patient-specific measurements of the Bennett angle can differ significantly from average values used in dental practice. The study included 140 patients and found that the median Bennett angle value was 6.7 degrees. The study also found that there was no significant difference between the Bennett angle values measured on the right and left sides of the temporomandibular joint, and no correlation between age or skeletal class and Bennett angle values. However, males had higher Bennett angle values compared to females. The article concludes that measuring the Bennett angle is important in prosthetic treatment planning and suggests average values of 10 degrees for males and 7-8 degrees for females.
