Abstrakt: Hardness (MH) is calculated by means of the method of many-electron operator spinors as phase transition with formation of 'orbital glass'. Indenter pressure PJ overcomes (internal) binding forces Eel (band, covalent ones, etc.). 'Orbital glass' energy EOG is the largest in precious stones and metals (PMH ≈ EOG >> Eel). Magnetic field Bz under transition, side by side with deformation u33, draws up segregation Lr||Oz--Galois group G33. In large fields Bz > Bcr, domain walls Lzr degenerate into asymmetrical phases (amorphous carbon). These are defects of diamond crystal. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
