Decision-making support system (DMSS) based on a qualitative approach to making decisions for which it is not possible to completely account for their predetermining conditions and their following influence is considered. Avoidance of making a decision in such circumstances may be impossible. That is why one aims to optimally use all available data on posed task and to choose the best solution. Qualitative approach in this paper implies formalization of a decision-making process using binary relation apparatus or preferences. Binary relations are manually supplied in matrix form by experts or by a separate software tool. Each binary relation gets assigned a weight. Decisions are carried out using function of choice apparatus, which is defined for each relation with dominance, blocking and tournament mechanism. Optimal solution is obtained by looking for k maximal variants and checking them for optimality. Obtained results are presented in generalizing table for a decision-making person. Automatic decision-making is also possible. DMSS is implemented as a web application in both user's and developer's versions. Its system and architectural level of development is considered. Application is demonstrated on a problem of choosing a car. Operational tables are presented which are filled-in in order to describe decisions and represent the results [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
