Abstrakt: This article discusses the use of sulfur 17% ointment as a topical treatment for scabies in children. Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by mites, and the current first-line treatment is permethrin 5% cream. However, there has been a reduction in efficacy with this treatment in recent years. The authors report their experience with sulfur 17% ointment in 22 pediatric patients and found that it was successful in treating scabies without any side effects. They suggest that sulfur ointment could be a safe and effective alternative treatment for scabies. [Extracted from the article]
