The purpose of this study is important focus of the marshes and their role in sustaining water resources and alleviating global water scarcity, Al-Dalamj Marsh in Wasit province is the study area. In general, these methods of analysis gave us an integrated environmental, demographic and hydrological description of the current situation of the marsh and a questionnaire of weaknesses in its public facilities and management. In light of the above analysis, several steps and projects have been proposed to improve marsh management depending on the opinion of those concerned (beneficiaries, local government, ministry's staff) and the extent to which they accept these steps, in addition to accepting their suggestions, then these questionnaires were subjected to a multi-criteria analysis (MCA). The results of the analysis of the multi-criteria questionnaires were used to develop a time-scheduled integrated development and management plan for Al-Dalamj Marsh, which is the main objective of the research.
