When vessels present in brain burst or the blood supply to the brain is blocked, brain stroke occurs in human body. Both of this case can be very harmful which could lead to serious injuries. serious brain issues, damage and death is very common in brain strokes. Accurate Brain stroke detection can help in early detection and diagnosis; however, stroke detection is a challenging and complex task. With an advancement of image processing algorithm, it is possible to segment the image portions, hence applying image processing in CT scan images can help to segment the CT scan image and segment and display the portion separately. The proposed research, efficient way to detect the brain strokes by using CT scan images and image processing algorithms. In this research CT scan image is used as an input and combination of image processing and morphological function is used to detect the stroke. The main aim of morphological function is to detect only part of images which contains the stroke. Finally, the performance of the proposed system is compared with existing algorithms. It is observed that proposed algorithm detects the brain stoke with high accuracy rate. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
