The features of the structure and dynamics of the NOAA 12 673 active region, which is associated with flares, include a number of processes that are closely correlated in space and time: the formation of two main centers of activity, where the intermittency of the magnetic field and the velocity field is increased compared to the surrounding areas and a rapid stepwise decrease in the unsigned magnetic flux during flares, at velocities up to 4 × 1018 Mx/s in the X9.3 flare on September 6, 2017, against the background of a general downward trend at a rate of 1017 Mx/s. The magnitude of the stepwise fall correlates with the flare index; 1-minute bursts of the maximum magnetic field strength, the exit of thin magnetic ropes before the flares and the development of quasi-periodic 4-min pulsations after the X9.3 eruptive flare were detected.
