Abstrakt: A research study conducted at the Second Hospital of Shandong University in China explores the role of high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in heart failure. While the protective effect of HDL on atherosclerosis is well-known, its impact on heart failure and its mechanisms are still controversial or unknown. The study suggests that HDL may play a cardioprotective role through its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and endothelial function protection. The research concludes that HDL plays an important role in the pathogenesis, progression, and treatment of heart failure. [Extracted from the article]
