A study conducted in Chojnice, Poland, compared the distal transradial approach (dTRA) to the conventional transradial access (cTRA) for patients undergoing coronary procedures. The study found that the dTRA had a higher incidence of arterial spasm and the need for access crossover, making it a less favorable strategy than cTRA. The majority of complications following the dTRA were minor, but individuals with diabetes were particularly susceptible to complications. This research provides valuable insights into the feasibility and safety of different approaches for coronary procedures. [Extracted from the article] |
