Researchers at the University of Baghdad have published a study on toxicology, focusing on the synthesis, characterization, and biological activity of new heterocyclic compounds derived from terephthalic acid. The study highlights the potential of imidazole and thiourea derivatives in treating systemic fungal infections. The compounds were synthesized through a series of reactions starting from terephthalic acid and characterized using FTIR, 1HNMR, and mass spectroscopy. This research provides valuable insights into the development of new compounds for potential therapeutic applications. [Extracted from the article] |
