A recent study conducted at the American British Cowdray Medical Center in Mexico City explored the perception and recognition of medical physicists (MPs) by medical specialists. The study found that while approximately two-thirds of specialists were aware of the medical physics profession and recognized the roles and responsibilities of MPs, 19% considered the standard of service inadequate. The researchers concluded that MPs need to make greater efforts to promote their status and enhance recognition of their contribution to healthcare. The low level of recognition in certain medical fields may be attributed to unclear documentation and inadequate regulations. [Extracted from the article] |
