Abstrakt: A recent report from researchers at Saveetha University in Tamil Nadu, India, discusses the formulation and characterization of a microsponge gel for the treatment of diaper dermatitis. The study aimed to develop a novel drug delivery system that would improve the effectiveness of therapy for diaper dermatitis. The researchers successfully formulated a microsponge-loaded gel with anti-fungal activity against Candida albicans, the fungus commonly associated with diaper rash.
