Researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Al Minya, Egypt have developed a new spectrofluorimetric approach for estimating midodrine hydrochloride, a drug used in midodrine therapy. The method involves reacting the drug with dansyl chloride to produce a highly fluorescent product, which is then measured. The approach was found to be sensitive and linear, with a range of 0.1 to 3 μg mL-1. It was successfully used to estimate the drug in tablet formulations and test content uniformity. The research provides a highly sensitive method for determining midodrine and testing content uniformity. [Extracted from the article] |
