| Abstrakt: | The article focuses on the studies and work of Anna Spitzmüller, the first female custodian at the Albertina Museum in Vienna, Austria. It presents a short biography of Spitzmüller and overview of her study of art history at the University of Vienna. It compares the careers of Spitzmüller and art historian Erica Tietze-Conrat at Albertina and art historian Agnes Mongan at Fogg Art Museum, and Spitzmüller's advocacy for gender equality and her protection of cultural property. |
