This article provides tile ideas for small bathrooms. It suggests extending tiling from walls onto the floor to create the illusion of extra space. Using tiles sparingly in a small area, such as a tiled splashback or inside a shower, can add color or pattern without overwhelming the space. Positioning a tiled feature wall strategically can draw attention and add depth to the room. Changing the layout of the tiles, such as laying them vertically, can create a more modern and linear effect. Using small tiles in moderation, such as in a border or alcove, can be a focal point without looking too busy. Patterned floor tiles can divert attention from the lack of space and make the room appear larger. Tiling the lower half of the wall a bold color and painting the upper half a paler shade can create the impression of height. Using highly reflective gloss tiles on the walls can increase the feeling of openness. Keeping the color uniform throughout the room can help blur the edges and visually stretch the space. Lastly, using large-format tiles with fewer grout lines can make the bathroom feel more spacious. [Extracted from the article] |
