Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at Baylor College of Medicine has developed and validated a risk assessment model (RAM) specifically for lymphoma patients at risk of venous thromboembolism (VTE). The RAM takes into account the clinical and sociodemographic differences across three different healthcare systems in the United States. The study found that the new RAM showed promising discrimination for VTE risk in lymphoma patients, with a noticeable improvement over the existing Khorana score. The researchers concluded that the new RAM could enhance VTE risk stratification and prevention efforts in lymphoma patients undergoing systemic therapy. [Extracted from the article] |
