Abstrakt: A study conducted at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University in China compared the outcomes of hybrid endovenous laser ablation (EVLA) and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) procedures for varicose veins. The study found that the EVLA procedure resulted in lower rates of recurrence below the knee and better quality-of-life scores compared to the RFA procedure. Both procedures showed similar rates of closure of the great saphenous vein at 12 months. The researchers concluded that the hybrid EVLA procedure is effective in reducing varicose vein recurrence and improving patient satisfaction. [Extracted from the article]
