| Abstrakt: | A recent report from Universidade Federal de Sao Paulo discusses the use of opioids as analgesics in pediatric oncology. The study found that more than half of hospitalized children with cancer experience intense and unrelieved pain. However, after receiving pharmacological interventions, 90.1% of patients reported complete alleviation of pain. The most commonly used pharmaceutical agents for pain management were metamizole and morphine.
