Abstrakt: A study conducted by researchers from Chongqing Medical and Pharmaceutical College in China explored the effects of capsaicin and dietary fiber on obesity and metabolic diseases. The researchers fed rats a high-fiber diet with varying doses of capsaicin and analyzed plasma parameters, gut microbiota, bile acid, and short-chain fatty acids. The results showed that the addition of capsaicin to the high-fiber diet led to decreased fasting blood glucose and insulin levels, increased bile acid composition, microbial abundance, and short-chain fatty acids. The study suggests that capsaicin may have potential anti-obesity effects through these mechanisms. [Extracted from the article]
