A systematic review conducted by researchers at Tarbiat Modares University in Tehran, Iran, investigated the effect of exercise training on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) concentration in animal models of multiple sclerosis. The researchers conducted searches in various databases and included 14 articles in their review. The findings showed that aerobic exercise increased changes in central BDNF concentration in multiple sclerosis animal models. However, the results were not consistent across all studies, with some reporting elevation, some reporting reduction, and others reporting no changes in BDNF levels. [Extracted from the article] |
