Abstrakt: A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Iowa explores the use of glucocorticoids in the treatment of B-lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). Glucocorticoids are an important component of chemotherapy regimens for B-ALL, but their effectiveness varies among patients. The study integrates proteomics and functional genomics to identify genes and proteins that contribute to glucocorticoid sensitivity and cell death in B-ALL. The findings suggest that targeting non-canonical functions of glucocorticoid receptors and specific proteins may improve the efficacy of glucocorticoid-based chemotherapy regimens.
