Abstrakt: Ice hotels have become a global phenomenon, with locations in Canada, Romania, and Japan. However, the world's first and largest ice hotel is Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, Sweden. Each year, the hotel is constructed using ice blocks harvested from the nearby river. Artists from around the world compete to design and create the hotel's art suites, resulting in diverse and unique designs. The hotel melts away in the spring and is reborn each winter, but a permanent addition called Icehotel 365, powered by solar energy, allows visitors to experience the hotel year-round. The creation of Icehotel was inspired by Japanese ice sculptors and the desire to transform Jukkasjärvi into a winter destination. [Extracted from the article]
