The pandemic and the imposed restrictions have forced a rethinking of testing processes, evaluation, and the search for alternatives applicable entirely in a digital environment. The management of higher schools and the technical teams responsible for conducting distance learning had to reorganize the test as part of the overall learning process in a short period. The article proposes a methodology for conducting remote online exams, developed for disciplines in the field of social and economic sciences. It could also be successfully applied to disciplines where the assessment (verification) of knowledge is carried out with the help of tests, developing topics, etc., which can be transmitted by the examined students through a computer with Internet connectivity. The authors used an online questionnaire survey, which aims to assess the impact of the proposed methodology on the manipulation of an examination procedure and student perceptions of the examination process. The results show that the proposed online testing methodology, through a proctor, is well accepted and easily implemented by its users. It successfully prevents cheating by the examined students.
