Response surface application in the photo-mineralization of congo red dye wastewater.

Abstrakt: In present research, mineralization of Congo Red dye using photolysis irradiation by induced visible light is optimized using response surface (RSM). On the basis of optimization, according to the current design highest removal i.e., 5.5 mg/L degradation can be obtained if 17 mg/L of dye solution is treated under 300 W sun tainting lamp at pH 6.5 in.49 minutes and ANOVA analysis signifies that proposed design in confined limit of process variables. In case of homogeneous photocatalytic degradation 32% of 17 mg/L of removed by could be achieved by photolysis alone. After the RSM analysis it is found that the valve of R-sq is 99.77%, R-sq(adj) is 99.57% and that of R-sq(pred) is 98.95% which shows that the design as well as experiments are under acceptable limits.
