Two polymorphs of amantadinium niflumate were obtained as new forms of potential medicine combining niflumic acid – a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, with amantadine – a drug used in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The polymorphs were structurally characterized showing the differences in crystal packing and intermolecular interactions. Interactions were analyzed in both crystals by theoretical methods: quantum theory of atoms in molecules (QTAIM) and noncovalent interaction (NCI) approaches. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
