The article focuses on challenging traditional language-centric literacy practices in classrooms and advocates for recognizing the diverse multimodal resources that emergent bilingual children bring to their learning, including drawings and conversations. Topics include the devaluation of identity in multilingual and marginalized students, the exploration of "radically multimodal" literacy practices among emergent bilinguals, and the reconfiguration of Freire's concept. |
