Determining the relation between axial a lateral deformation on the compressed specimen of rammed unburned earths is a more complicated process. Contact measurement during the pressure test is greatly influenced by the correct mounting of the sensors on the specimen in the axial and transverse directions. The result is not a clearly defined value of the factor, but an area corresponding to the corresponding part of the working diagram. Digital Image Correlation (DIC) can significantly refine the measurement result. The article is focused on the comparison of both methods in terms of the procedure and the difficulty of measuring and processing the results. In the conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of both methods are compared. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
