Abstrakt: One of the impacts of the industrialization era is the use of plastic products. The advantages of plastic products are that they are light and strong and resistant to corrosion, can be transparent, can be colored, do not experience decay and most importantly they can function as an insulator so that they can replace wood and metal products that have been used for years. In the manufacturing industry the tools used to make products from plastic in the production process use injection molding. As a result of use during the production process and the lack of handling during use, this mold can be damaged which results in defects in the product. This research was conducted to obtain information about product defects that often occur due to damage to the mold as well as in terms of material and manpower skills in the plastic injection molding process. From the results 50 of data collection in 2019, it was found that the product defects that occurred related to the damage to the mold were shrink marks with a percentage of about 40.3% 11% Short Mold. Therefore, it can be concluded that the product defects that often occur due to mold damage are Shrink Mark and Short Mold which are mostly caused by temperature and pressure settings as well as unstable cooling of the molding and accompanied by a large amount of melted material which will be injected into the cavity of the molding machine beyond the capacity. ideally. From the results, it is found that the value of R-sq (adj) is 99,978, and the resulting main effect is 9.44457 [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
