Researchers at the University of Ilorin in Nigeria have developed a multi-epitope vaccine using immunoinformatics techniques to target rickettsioses, a global health threat caused by intracellular bacteria. The vaccine was designed to target specific proteins and was validated through various analyses. If successful in further studies, this vaccine could be a promising therapeutic strategy against rickettsiosis and address a critical public health challenge. The research was published in Informatics in Medicine Unlocked. [Extracted from the article] |
