Researchers at Bashkir State Medical University have discussed the findings of a study on miRNA-based therapy in neuro-oncology. The study highlights the challenges faced in treating brain tumors and the need for innovative approaches to enhance conventional therapies. MiRNAs have the potential to suppress tumor growth and act as oncogenes, making them a promising domain in neuro-oncology. However, the delivery of therapeutic agents to brain tumor tissue remains a challenge. The study explores different methods of delivering miRNA agents to brain tumor cells and considers the clinical aspects of miRNA-based therapy. [Extracted from the article] |
