A report from the University of New South Wales discusses the Kids Guided Personalised Service (KidsGPS), an integrated model of care coordination for children and young people living with medical complexity. The model has been successfully implemented in an urban setting and will now be expanded to four rural regions in New South Wales, Australia to establish RuralKidsGPS. The report outlines the approach and methods for evaluating the outcomes and implementation of RuralKidsGPS, including assessing health service utilization, child health-related quality of life, and parent/carer experiences. If effective, RuralKidsGPS has the potential to improve access to integrated care for children and young people and their families in rural areas. [Extracted from the article] |
