Abstrakt:	A research study conducted at the University of Mosul evaluated the surface hardness of denture base acrylic resin after modifying it with different techniques. The researchers modified the heat-cured acrylic resin by copolymerizing it with acrylic acid and thermally activated zinc oxide, as well as by chemically bonding zinc ions into the polymer chain. The study found that adding 10% by weight of thermally activated zinc oxide or copolymerizing it with zinc diacrylate significantly improved the hardness of the acrylic resin.
