Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Ho Technical University in Ghana explored the relationship between anxiety, attitude, self-efficacy, and academic effort in research methods courses. The study found that students often experience anxiety and disinterest in these courses, which negatively impacts their self-beliefs and perception of research usefulness. However, a positive disposition towards research can enhance students' academic efforts, and self-efficacy plays a significant role in driving students' efforts and enhancing their positive disposition and perception of research usefulness. The study suggests that students' perception of research usefulness mediates the relationship between anxiety and effort in research. [Extracted from the article]
