A new report from Juntendo University Faculty of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan, discusses the real-world effectiveness and safety of the drug lemborexant in treating comorbid insomnia associated with other psychiatric disorders. The study, which was conducted on patients treated at Juntendo University Hospital Mental Clinic, found that 64.5% of patients responded positively to lemborexant. The drug also helped reduce the dose of benzodiazepines in participants. The researchers concluded that while the study had limitations, it suggests that lemborexant is effective and safe.
