This article, titled "Creative Solutions to Save Hawai'i's Critically Endangered Forest Birds," discusses a study that developed a new method for translocating endangered bird species away from their biggest threats. The study focused on two critically endangered bird species from Kaua'i and modeled suitable habitat for them on east Maui, Hawai'i, based on climate and forest structure metrics. The potential for competition between the translocated species and other endemic and critically endangered bird species in east Maui was also examined.
