This study aims to produce a traditional law textbook based on the local wisdom of the people of South Sumatra that is valid and effective. The development is carried out by integrating existing customary law in various areas of South Sumatra and adapting to each material. The type of research used is development research. There are three stages of activities to be carried out, namely development, production, and testing of textbooks. Data collection techniques using documentation, observation, questionnaires, and tests. Documentation is used to collect various materials as material for book development, observation will be used to observe student responses when testing is carried out, questionnaires will be used for the validation stage from experts, and tests will be used during the textbook trial stage. Based on the percentage of the results of the validation questionnaire from the experts and the textbook trials, it was found that the textbooks were valid and effective to use to support the learning process.
