Analysis of didactic design of integer operation number in sundanese ethnomathematics learning with Congklak games for pre-service elementary school teacher students.

Abstrakt: This article aims to analyse the implementation of Sundanese ethnomathematics learning materials with Congklak games to grow pre-service elementary school teacher education students' creative thinking abilities by using teaching materials compiled with the Didactic Design Research method. The research subjects used were 78 pre-service elementary school teacher education students as the respondents in which they were grouped based on educational background and cultural background. Students are classified based on their educational background as 45 respondents were students of natural science class and 33 respondents were not students of natural science class. Of those numbers, 39 of them were Sundanese respondents and the rest 39 were non-Sundanese respondents. Learning Obstacles test instrument, initial didactic design and didactic design revision practice were used to obtain the data. The results of the study obtained that both cultural and educational background students have difficulty in making originality and flexibility of image models in the representation of mathematical integer operation number ideas. The initial didactic design was followed by a didactic design revision in Sundanese ethnomathematics learning with Congklak games that could improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. Congklak games potentially help them to figure out the obstacles in drawing mathematical ideas while playing games. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
