Ultrasonic Method of Surface Treatment of Anisotropic Electrical Steel to Reduce Its Total Magnetic Losses for Remagnetization.

Abstrakt: The article describes an ultrasonic method of formation of locally deformed zones (LDZs) in the form of mechanical scratches, applied to the surface of anisotropic electrical steel (AES) for crushing its domain structure to reduce the total magnetic losses Pt. Drawing on the example of a grade 3407 AES, it has been shown that due to such treatment, Pt decreases by an average of 10–15%. At the same time, the impact of ultrasound on the working tool leads to a significant increase in the treatment rate (2.0–2.5 m/s). In contrast, the rate of applying LDZ by conventional mechanical scribing did not exceed 10–15 cm/s with significant pressure on the working tool. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
