Abstrakt: A new report from Maharashtra, India discusses the effects of laparoscopic surgeries on diaphragmatic excursions and respiratory changes. The study aimed to compare diaphragmatic excursions before and after major laparoscopic pelvic surgeries under general anesthesia in the Trendelenburg position using ultrasonography. The research found that diaphragmatic excursions decreased significantly after these surgeries, and factors such as age, duration of anesthesia, and pain after the procedure were significant independent predictors. This study provides valuable insights into the effects of laparoscopic surgeries on respiratory function and can be useful for medical professionals and researchers in the field of anesthesia.
